Hutter Construction joined NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire and supporters in front of the Brownstones on Elm Street for the completion of the RENEW II affordable apartment renovations and the grand opening of the Raymond J. Wieczorek Good Neighbor Walkway.
RENEW II is a $5 million-dollar rehabilitation project to upgrade 5 separate buildings consisting of 101 units on Elm Street, Brook Street, and Temple Street in Manchester NH. Improvements were made to interior units, common spaces, and the exterior.
As someone who drives down Elm Street every day at least two times a day, you always see families outside of these buildings, kids and their parents on the sidewalks, on the steps–so to see these sidewalks renovated as well with the seats and making sure that it’s safe–It’s wonderful, again, that you do in our city and throughout our state.
To say this project has been a long time coming would be a huge, huge understatement. Manchester Neighborhood housing services, which today does business as NeighborWorks Southern NH, we began acquiring businesses on this block back in 1998.
