PROJECT SUMMARY

The Mount Washington Resort Hotel expansion program involved 43,000 square feet of new construction and 7,000 square feet of renovation of the existing pool, locker rooms and fitness center. The new construction included a two-story semi-attached steel frame structure with EIFS exterior and a garden room, half pavers and half green.

The addition houses a 12,000 square foot conference area on the upper floor and a 18,600 square foot world class spa and 8,500 square foot mechanical room on the lower level. The contract also included construction of a new outside pool complex, new entry drives, landscaping improvements and new underground utilities systems.

Due to the complexity of this project and the confined site, two full-time superintendents and an on-site project director were assigned to guide the construction process. The project was constructed and integrated into the hotel without interruption of the services provided to patrons including over three dozen weddings, many conferences and hundreds of hotel stays.
