PROJECT SUMMARY

The new Athol Hospital Emergency Department and Medical Office Building Addition and Renovation project consisted of a three floor, 46,700 square feet ED/MOB addition and a 3,300 square feet renovation for a new imaging suite. The ground floor (Level 0) housed a new 16,000 sf Emergency Department providing nearly three times the space of its current department. Included were 13 treatment rooms capable of housing up to 15 patients.

A staff work area as the hub of the ED and provide quick access to patient treatment areas such as exam rooms, behavioral health and resuscitation rooms. Specialty rooms for isolation, pelvic and bariatrics patients were are also included. The new 16,600 SF medical office space (MOB) located on level 1 was created for outpatient services, primary care and specialty care.
