PROJECT SUMMARY

The scope of work included the renovation to the existing office space into an open office area, as well as, the construction of a new storage facility in the back of the existing building. We created a new exercise gym area, game room and lab space for the engineering department. The HVAC & electrical systems were upgraded with new heat pumps and a new cooling tower was added for redundancy and additional cooling requirements.

The new storage building consisted of concrete foundations, wood framed with wood trusses, new exterior metal siding and roofing. A sprinkler & fire alarm system was also installed in the storage building for added protection.

The fully occupied building required extensive coordination with the owner and the subcontractors. The access to the first floor without having to travel through the facility required the removal of a window to provide construction access from the exterior. Parking and deliveries had to be carefully coordinated and controlled.

Part of the renovation required the remodeling of the main lobby and bathroom areas. Maintaining access and keeping the areas clean and presentable was required. The schedule was aggressive and was met.
