Crossroads Community Church
Fitchburg, MA
PROJECT SUMMARY
When this growing and vibrant congregation faced the daunting task of creating maximum space with a minimal budget, they called Hutter Construction having heard of our reputation. After some preliminary meetings and design concepts, Hutter was chosen to use the funds available to bring their dreams to reality. Working with a support team of engineers and an engineered metal building, Hutter’s in-house designer worked patiently and efficiently through a myriad of renditions to harmonize the congregation’s many needs into a single working plan that all felt would meet their program and incorporate donated labor and materials.
A new 12,000 square foot sanctuary was constructed into the hillside behind their existing structure. A new wood-framed connector become the church’s new entrance/meet-and-greet area. The new sanctuary was equipped with state-of-the-art audio/video equipment and the existing sanctuary became the new children’s church area. Upgrades to the septic and electrical systems were preformed to accommodate the increased building capacity.
Additionally, we demolished the existing bathrooms and installed a new bathroom group with ADA upgrades. Construction for this project was performed without interruption to the church schedule — packed with activity every day.
