BIM Systems

Hutter Construction Corporation has been pursuing the benefits of BIM systems since 2007. We understood the benefits of isometric perspectives and renderings early on in our history. We would regularly hire technical artists to prepare images that would help our customers see and understand the projects that we were building. When we first saw the power that the modeling software could offer, we were convinced that it would be an important and essential tool for our company.

In 2006 we began investing in the software, hardware and training required to produce the technical and graphic drawings that we had begun to see in design and construction journals. To the delight of our residential customers we began modeling their house designs. We were able to show our customers a detailed and endlessly adjustable perspective of their new homes.

The ability to demonstrate design and construction issues nearly eliminated misunderstandings about the expected outcomes. Scale, feel, interferences and opportunities for improvement, all became apparent in ways that were never before imagined.

We are proud to be a part of the paradigm shift, which promises to improve our product, our projects and our industry.

Hutter Construction’s preferred modeling software is REVIT, which we use with AutoCad 2010. It provides great interoperability with most designers’ software. We now enter our site designs into the 3D format. The aerial views are a hit with both the site crews and the owners. We are even able to simulate a “fly-over” which when shown on a media player demonstrates the overall project with enough realism to leave little to the imagination.
